About the Program

The minor in Diverse Literatures offers students the opportunity to study texts by writers from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on American literature. The minor includes genre and topic-based courses on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and (dis)ability and highlights the contributions of diverse writers on American literature, culture, and society.

Students design their program with their minor adviser or the English Department chair.
